Fast & Smart Search
Search results based on both information stored in document and actual usage of documents. KXDocs captures a rich set of information about each document to power its search function. In addition, KXDocs self-learns, connecting search terms with documents downloaded, recording actual downloads, noting relationships between documents and extracting keywords from user comments.
Before deciding to download, KXDocs shows you a full document description — information provided by author, usage stats, comments on the document, related documents, peek inside, etc. Similar to the book description page that Amazon provides to help you decide if you want to buy the book.
KXDocs becomes smarter in search with usage. It continuously updates document information and search criteria based on actual search and download behaviour, comments and inputs from users and additional information provided by document authors.
Multiple Search Categories
KXDocs recognises that you may be looking for document by topic, function, subject matter, client, project, author, etc. It captures information about the document in many categories as defined by your organisation during the set-up and in periodic revisions, allowing documents to be found in many different ways.
Find all documents related to the one that you need. Documents from the same project, on the same topic, downloaded together by others, etc. are all listed under ‘Related Documents’ on the document description page.
The document description page also serves as a record of all comments and Q&A by users. The app picks up user suggested keywords for the document and adds them to the search criteria for the document. If users find a ‘brand management’ document to be especially good for ‘understanding consumer behaviour’, the app will start showing the document for the latter search term.
Through the comments section on the document description page, users can ask a question to the author or for general response. The app directs the question to the author and, in cases of a general question, to anyone who has previously downloaded the document.
Each user has a profile page with a list of documents authored and a self-created profile of skills and experience. See an author profile for documents authored or search for experts in a particular domain or subject-matter based on their record of document authoring.
